From the past comes Rogers, a man who threatens to ruin the Bresciano family’s reputation and happiness. It is not to be borne. There are violent confrontations. Then Bresciano identifies a body found in the yard of his warehouse. Rogers will no longer disturb their peace of mind. But it is murder most foul and the Town Major investigates and finds himself a fine clutch of suspects in Bresciano and his family. Any of the people Bresciano loves could have murdered Rogers.
